​Responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of a five thousand ton central chiller plant, single and dual duct air handling systems, package units, heating apparatus, air compressors and diesel generators in a 2.2 million square foot facility.
• Monitor and adjust chillers, units and V.A.V. boxes via computer from a central control room.
• Received extra air conditioning requests, programmed them into the building automation system and directed billing to the appropriate department.
• Supervised and scheduled staff with Chief and Assistant Chief Engineers.
• Ordered and stocked parts, materials, tools for the engineering department.
• Expedited purchase requisitions, bill payment and subsequent record keeping.
• Arranged and conducted walk throughs for estimates from vendors.
• Supervise contractor's work and progress in NBC's facilities.
• Updated departmental maintenance system, database and mechanical drawings.

Building Operations Manager - The Sports Club / LA

​Responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of a one hundred and fifty-five thousand square foot sports club facility on Manhattans Upper East Side and a ninety thousand square foot sports club facility in Rockefeller Center.
•Facility systems include steam boilers, hot water boilers, heat pumps, exhaust fans, transfer fans, cooling tower, pool, spa, elevators, full service laundry, emergency generator, sprinklers, standpipes, fire pumps, domestic water booster pumps, sump pumps, gas pump, steam generators, saunas, Metasys building automation system, Pyrotronics fire command station/system, L.C.&D. automated lighting system, over three hundred pieces of cardiovascular/fitness equipment and a Nortel phone system.
• Apply for, renew and maintain Fire Department and Department of Health permits as well as appear for any city agency hearings necessary.
• Oversee outside Security Company, Cleaning Company, Telecommunications Company and other outside contractors/vendors.
• Put together and execute the capital budget for the facilities, including providing scopes, bidding, planning and project management.
• Responsible for entire R&M budget, utility budget and departmental payroll budget.
• Report directly to the General Manager of the facility regarding all matters.
• Member of the marketing and promotions committee and head of the energy conservation and recycling committee.

 

Engineering Operations Manager - The Plaza Hotel

​Supervised a team of 55 technicians which included electricians, masons, plumbers, stationary engineers, furniture finishers, gold leafers, painters, carpenters and supply/store room clerks.
• Coordinated actions with other departments in regard to hotel wide issues.
• Implemented a corrective/preventive maintenance program for the 808-room hotel.
• Represented the Engineering Department in daily operations meetings.
• Departmental trainer of safety and hotel standards.
• Conducted pre-arrival inspection of VIP accommodations.
• During non-peak hours, worked shifts as the hotel's Manager on Duty providing communication, guidance and support to all departments. Personally followed up with guest concerns, initiated corrective actions and provided amenities where appropriate.
